Dating in Kent*

Thanks to Covid, many singletons have had to put their love lives on hold whilst others thanks to technology, have become inventive and have taken to virtual dating. Online or virtual dating actually has many benefits;
  • Firstly it enables singles to meet so many more people than they ever could in day to day life. This means people have the chance of finding love with someone outside of their local area.
  • Online dating is great for those who are nervous, especially if they're getting back on the dating horse after a long while. It allows singles to ease themselves back into dating at a rate that feels comfortable.
  • Many dating sites work by matching people based on their compatibility which means relationships are more likely to last longer.
Video dating in particular has quickly become the new normal with dating sites such as Zoosk, Elite, Match, eHarmony and this Kent Dating Site helping people to connect with other singles. With the news that lockdown is gradually being eased, people will finally be able to set 'in person' dates with those who they've been virtually dating up until now.

In my last post I shared some dating ideas for those based in Edinburgh, today I'm sharing some dating ideas for Kent, a county in south eastern England. Travel About Britain refers to Kent as the 'garden of England.' It's famous for some magnificant buildings such as Canterbury Cathedral and Dover Castle and is well known for it's food and drink. It's also home to Port Lympne Reserve, beautiful beaches such as Botany Bay, Margate beach and Joss Bay and vintage amusement park, Dreamland. Of course these are just a handul of iconic attractions based in Kent.

If you love history then look no further than Scotney Castle, a 14th century moated castle pictured below. With it's stunning Victorian country mansion, beautiful gardens, woodland, parkland and picnic spots, this is a perfect idea for a first date. Wander around the grounds before stopping for a romantic picnic lunch. Head on over to the shop on site for a souvenir and then pop into Betsy's second hand book shop. There's also a tea room open for takeaway.

If you love music - particularly jazz, then Tunbridge Wells is worth considering. From May you can once again enjoy Jazz on The Pantiles. Because of Covid, this year's event will be seated and seats can be booked at one of the restaurants taking part. Featuring a backdrop of beautiful Georgian colonnaded walkways, you and your date can enjoy a truly romantic evening of delicious food, wine and melodious music.

If you are Kent Dating then another consideration is enjoying a winery tour. You'll find Chapel Down Winery in the countryside of Kent. Book a tour from £25 per person and enjoy wandering through acres of vines before visiting the winery. Afterwards you can take part in a 'tutored tasting' session where you'll be able to try award winning wines. I also recommend checking out The Swan restaurant which is located in the vineyards of Chapel Down.

If you have any more dating ideas for the Kent area then why not share them over on Twitter with me?
