*This is a collaborative post*

The vaping industry has been growing year by year. However, many people are still not sure what e-cigarettes and e-liquids UK are. Some of non-vapers consider these products to be just the same as tobacco cigarettes, while other people are wrongly thinking that vaping is even more dangerous due to much bigger clouds it provides. Let’s put the things right and throw light on 5 important facts about vaping.

But First: What Is Vaping?

It is crucial to have an elementary knowledge of what vaping is and how it differs from smoking. When a person smokes, he/she burns chemical-laden tobacco and inhales the smoke. The great amount of these chemicals have been classified as toxic by the World Health Organization (WHO). When using an e-cigarette nothing is burnt. A vape cigarette works by using a lithium battery to heat up an e-liquid/ e-juice to produce a vapour that is inhaled and exhaled.

The e-liquids include a base liquid, a mix of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG), flavourings and nicotine (optional). There are different ratios of VG to PG and different strengths of nicotine available, including zero nicotine e juices. None of the ingredients used with e-liquids causes issues like those in tobacco cigarettes do.

Vaping Is An Effective Alternative to Traditional Cigarettes

If you have been smoking for a while or more, you might have ever thought to quit smoking for a better, healthier life. Almost every smoker has ever promised him/herself to give up tobacco cigarettes. And unfortunately just a small percentage of them has succeed. Some people find excuses, the others don’t find an effective alternative that would help them stop smoking. Thereby, any of them is exposed to a risk of heart and lung diseases, or even deaths from smoking and secondhand smoke.

You might have heard of vaping or you’re probably even temped to turn to e-cigs. And this is a right decision provided that you have been smoking before. The most difficult is to resist nicotine cravings, as in fact nicotine is the addictive chemical, not tobacco itself.

There are a lot of forms of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) out there. Among them are the following: patches, gum, lozenges, inhaler, and nasal spray. However, as time shows, all these methods are not that effective. Many smokers can not cope with enormous nicotine cravings. And e-cigs win in this competition. Why? First of all because the nicotine level in e-liquids can be reduced to 0. It’s crucial to start the vape journey correctly. This means that an ex-smoker can pick up an ideal nicotine strength at the very beginning, and gradually reduce it in time, which will result in nicotine cessation and not getting back to smoking.

Moreover, as a bonus by the industry, there are many vape sale on the market.

Vaping Is Known To Be 95% Safer Than Smoking

A couple of years ago Public Health England (PHE) carried out a detailed research and proved that vaping is 95% safer that smoking. Since then, the PHE authorities have been extremely supportive of vaping and the use of vape products to reduce tobacco-related harm. Professor John Newton, the Chief Knowledge Officer for Public Health England, reaffirms: “Vaping is not risk free but is far less harmful than smoking. Our advice remains that people who smoke are better to switch completely to vaping but if you have never been a smoker, don’t start to vape”.

No Passive Vaping Harm

Unlike cigarettes, there is no side-stream vapour emitted by an e-cigarette into the atmosphere, just the exhaled aerosol. In 2018 a report prepared by PHE found there have been no identified health risks of passive vaping to bystanders. Additionally, if compared to tobacco cigarettes, the electronic ones have a pleasant smell.

Vaping Is Very Customisable

There are thousands of vape devices and e-liquids on the market, that will suit any taste and budget. As a beginner, you can choose a pen style kit or pod system device, and switch to a more powerful gadget when you feel the urge for bigger clouds and stronger throat hit.

E-juices come in a wide range of different flavours. Some people prefer to use a tobacco flavored ones that mimic the taste of cigarettes or cigars they used before. Others prefer to mix it up with something fruity or sweet. The amount of nicotine varies and can be customised as well. The TPD complied e-liquids contain up to 20mg/ml of nicotine and this level can be reduced to minimum or not to contain nicotine at all.

It is important to end this short yet informative article with the idea that vaping industry is not targeting non-smokers. If you have never smoked – don’t start to vape. In case you need a hand with giving up tobacco cigarettes, vaping is a must for you.
