Long Break Needed After Uni? Look No Further*

*This is a collaborative post*

Uni is a long ordeal, there’s no denying that. Whilst you might look back and think that your time there has gone quick, we guarantee that you’ll still need a good long break. Some people decide to go straight into a career after uni, whilst other think it’s best to have a few months off. If you’re going to have a few months off, why not spend some of it travelling the world!? Travelling is one of the best things you can do if you need to unwind from something that’s been a little stressful, and we guarantee that this is going to be one of those things. Here are some of the best destinations for you to let your hair down, and really enjoy your new life outside of uni.

London

So, we’re going to start off with the destination that is closest to home. London is a great city if you’re looking to let your hair down and have some fun. It’s always lively, and no matter what night you end up out on, you’re guaranteed to have a good time. There’s plenty of short term lets at LSA, so you could even have your own little apartment for however long you wanted. However, if you are looking for something a bit more relaxed, you don’t have to be amongst the hustle and bustle of London all of the time. It can has some wonderful nature filled parks for you to stroll through, and plenty of art galleries and museums for you to explore. There’s cute coffee shops tucked out of the way, and plenty of restaurants for you to enjoy. London isn’t all about the mad lifestyle, but it is about escaping what you’re already used to.

Venice

Venice is a place that people dream of going, and if you picture it, we guarantee that you’re going to feel slightly more relaxed. Venice is all about the long canals with the gondolas. The cobbled street filled with history, and the beautiful Italian food to fill you up. Getting to venice might mean hopping on a plane, but it should be more than worth it if you get to see some of the wonderful sights that it has to offer. Plus, there really are some great hotels there for you to book into, and just going for a long weekend will be enough to make you feel totally relaxed.

Portugal

Now onto something super relaxing. If you go to Portugal, you’re going to get the perfect mixture of the beaches, the old towns, and the sun. You can either spend the day by the pool stuffing your face on the all inclusive, or you can walk around one of the towns, such as Lagos, and experience the true Portugal. If you’re going somewhere like this to relax, you’re best off going for a week or two so you can really make the most of it. Of course, we would advise you to go all inclusive as well, it’ll work out cheaper for you in the long run.
