End Of April Catch Up

Hello lovelies. Today is my 'sit down and just catch up with you all' post! How is everyone? I can't quite believe that Easter has now been and gone. Tell the truth now... How many Easter eggs did you all scoff? I probably ate way too much chocolate myself! :)

Over the weekend I spent some quality time with friends and family. Saturday saw me at the beach with my sisters and nephews and it was freezing. Nathan was running around in swimwear yet my sisters and I were curled up trying to get warm under towels. Go figure...

Sunday was the Christening of a very good friend's daughter. The sun shone and a fabulous time was had by all. As tempted as I was to leap onto the bouncy castle, I managed to resist and instead sat back to relax as I watched my nephew play with the other kids!

Next week is finally payday and I cannot wait. It'll mark the six month countdown to my car being fully paid off. You don't necessarily think about it when you take out finance but five years is an awfully long time when you're losing a chunk of your wage every month. Needless to say, I'll be thinking carefully before I buy another vehicle. I'd like to think I could save up and pay for one outright but life has a tendency to throw spanners in the works in the form of unexpected expenditures.

Books wise I've barely read anything this month. I've just been way too busy. I currently have a pile by my bed just waiting to be delved into. Here's hoping that I'll read at least one full book in May. Speaking of books, I'll be launching a new competition in a week or so over on my Twitter page so be sure to keep a lookout for that. I've got three signed books to give away and you won't want to miss out!

And that's about as much as I have to fill you all in on. April has been a month full of work/blog/work/blog/work/blog... You get the picture. Goals for May? I have just one for now. To get slightly more organised as I literally have paperwork coming out of my ears. All writing and blog related as is the norm.

Have you any exciting news to share? Did you smash your April goals? Until next time...

  1. Congrats on your car being paid off! I'm working on that now, and it is no easy feat.

  2. Paying off any debt is so difficult! I've got way too much debt on credit cards that I really need to shift, but I keep putting it off. That's future Aimee's problem! Haha. Well done you on nearly having paid it off though - that's ace. Thanks for mentioning my blog :) x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x
