Get To Grips With Virtual Dating ft. Date Ideas For Shropshire*

*This is a collaborative post*

If you're not particularly tech-savvy and you're single, now is the time to get to grips with your computer and make the most of the digital era! Many people have met their spouse or other half through the internet via a dating site. Get yourself online and you'll find a variety of websites to choose from. Popular dating sites include; eHarmony, Match, Elite, Zoosk, Tinder, Bumble, Hinge and local sites such as thiShropshire Dating Site. Of course this isn't a comprehensive list and you'll be able to find more local dating sites for other areas.

Even before the pandemic and lock-down, singles everywhere were already taking to the world of virtual dating.

So what is 'virtual dating'?

The term 'virtual dating' basically means that you can still get to know one another and enjoy each others company, you just won't physically be together. Choose a 'video calling' platform such as Zoom or Face-time and away you go.

In recent articles I've published, I've shared dating ideas for different areas in the UK now that lock-down is lifting. In this post I'm going to focus on Shropshire which is a county situated in central England, and also Ludlow which is a market town situated in Shropshire itself.

1. Ludlow Castle

Shropshire is home to many historic sites such as Ludlow Castle. It's a perfect outdoor date where you can wander the grounds, take in the beautiful surroundings before browsing the nearby shops and eateries. This September, be sure to look up the Ludlow Food Festival which will be set up inside the castle and will feature over 180 local food and drink producers and suppliers.

2. Ironbridge Gorge Museums

The Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site features some award winning attractions such as Blists Hill Victorian Town, Enginuity, Jackfield Tile Museum, Coalport China Museum, Museum of the Gorge and The Iron Bridge and Tollhouse. If you pop on over to the Ironbridge website you can plan your stay so that you make the most of everything. I personally love the look of the nearby Telford Hotel and Golf Resort which is a 4 star resort style hotel.

3. Rednal Karting

I absolutely love karting, it's such a laugh and brings out my competitive side. If you're based in the area and are Shropshire Dating, this would certainly get you both talking afterwards! The track at Rednal Karting is just over 1km long and all the equipment is provided free of charge. It doesn't matter if you've no experience, karting is ideal for beginners and the more advanced driver.

4. The Ludlow Farm Shop

I would love to travel to Ludlow to see an old friend and I'd definitely pop to the Ludlow Farm Shop whilst there. According to their website, they're a 'one-of-a-kind shopping environment where farming, passion for great food and retail come together to create an award-winning experience.' There's an on-site cafe serving delicious sounding lunches such as the Ludlow Gold Beer Battered Fish and the Gloucester Old Spot Ham Salad Sandwich. If you want to stay a while then look no further than The Clive Arms restaurant which has accommodation.
