Personal: October Catch-Up

Hello my lovelies! Just dropping into your lives for a little catch up seeing as you seem to like these. October has been a busy old month, I literally feel like I've not stopped. Blogging has been full on as you may have noticed with all the posts of late but I'm hoping to take some time off in December just so I can catch my breath and of course enjoy everything Christmas related.

I don't think I've done a 'true' round up post in a long while so here's what I got up to this month.

We took a trip to Windermere - one of my favourite places on earth as many of my GGD readers will remember. I don't usually visit in Autumn so it was nice to see it from a different perspective. As soon as it started to go dark, I took a picture, see header. Look at the pretty lights twinkling. It felt really Christmassy! Speaking of which, I got a couple of little gifts for two of my closest friends. I love that the shops here sell really obscure and unique gift ideas.

As you can see from these photos, I also tried the most amazing Belgium waffle with chocolate brownie chunks, strawberries, cream and ice-cream. It was divine but rather filling.

October also saw me try a new alcoholic beverage - I blame my brother for getting me into this as I'd never really been a cider fan before. Now I am addicted to these Strawberry and Lime Koppabergs. They have an alcohol free version which I also love when I've been to the pub but am driving. What more could a girl ask for?

A patient made us these beautiful cupcakes which looked so beautiful I didn't actually want to eat them. But eat them we did and they tasted as good as they looked!

Isaac helped me to review this book, 'Who's Been In Our Tree,' which will feature on a forthcoming blog post. He put a lot of effort into his conclusion so I look forward to sharing it with you all. Speaking of the little man, Isaac turns eight this November and my sister is throwing him a luau disco. It's going to be a whole lot of fun. If anyone knows of where we can get any extra fantastic Hawaiian party bits or a luau themed cake then please let me know.

I can't end this post without mentioning 'Tango Moderno' which is the new show by Flavia Cacace-Mistry and Vincent Simone. Helen and I saw this on Friday night along with her parents at the Grand Theatre in Blackpool. It was a show-stopping night that took my breath away and got my feet twitching for their dance shoes. It's high time I got back into it. Vincent sadly didn't dance due to an injury but his place was taken by two incredibly talented male dancers.

What else to say? It's all been work - blog - work - blog - and a little bit of fun thrown in for good measure. My car is due it's MOT in a few weeks so please send positive vibes my way as I really need it to get through as cheaply as possible. Knowing my luck it'll need four new tyres and goodness knows what else.

I'll be sharing some Christmas themed posts in November so if you're a fan, be sure to keep a look out for them.

Until next time my lovelies... xxx
