July Catch Up

Hello lovelies. You may have noticed a lot of collaborative content on GGD of late but today this is just going to be one of my rambling catch up posts. Phew. I'm exhausted tbh. Work (as in my day job) has been so full on. No change there I guess as it's such a busy practice. And then I've literally had blog collaborations coming out of my ears. I'm thrilled of course as it means this little website is doing quite well, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to juggle my full time job and keep up with blogging. I'm just about managing. I usually finish my day at the practice between half five and six, then I start work on GGD. This involves writing draft posts, typing up and publishing my latest, applying for blog opportunities, social media promotion and networking. I usually sit down to chill at about half ten for an hour or so before going to sleep and starting all over again the next day.

I'm taking two weeks annual leave mid August which I am so ready for. I'm off to Scotland for a week with my sister and nephews which I'm super excited about. At four and a half hours, it'll be the longest road trip I've ever done with me doing all the driving so wish me luck! Thankfully one of my patients has kindly lent me a sat nav. Life saver!  It'll also be my 35th birthday while we're away and it'll be the first time I'll have been away from home for it. Apparently the internet signal is dire where we're staying so it'll be the perfect excuse to take some time off from blogging too. I'm going to use the time to work on my novel. Speaking of which, for those of you who have been asking - my debut novel is a heart warming rom com designed as a feel good 'pick me up.' I can't wait to share it with you all.
A few recommendations for you before I go...

Recommended reads this month - Victoria Cooke 'The Secret To Falling In Love'
Recommended listen - Little Mix 'Power'
Recommended watch - Gilmore Girls - My mum and I are currently re-watching the whole series. It's just so easy to watch and very addictive.
