Sharing The Blog Love

Afternoon all!

So it's that time of week again... Head on over to Twitter to catch up on lots of blog posts by using the hashtag #SundayBlogShare!
If you're a little out of the loop then SBS was an idea conceived and created by the lovely Suzie, a thirty something year old former teacher. In November 2014 Suzie started up the #SundayBlogShare twitter party which as Suzie herself says, 'allows bloggers to share posts and meet new people.' You can check out Suzie's blog by clicking here.

I've already caught up on quite a few blogs this week and as such I've been saving my favourite posts ready to share with you all today!

Here are my top picks for the week...

(As per, just click on the photos to be take to the relevant sites!)

'5 Things: Becoming More Independent' by Kate La Vie
http://www.katelavie.com/2015/10/5-things-becoming-independent.html

Kate set this blog up in early 2010. She blogs about beauty, lifestyle, product reviews, makeup, home/interior and sometimes throws in some personal posts for good measure. This particular post is one of my favourite reads this week!

'How To Make A Million From Writing ' by Carol Hedges
http://carolhedges.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/how-to-make-million-from-writing.html?spref=tw&utm_content=bufferf9d58&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer&m=1

Go on. Admit it. That made you sit up and pay attention right? I'm sure we'd all love to make a million bucks from our novels but alas the harsh reality (or in this instance Carol) suggests we'd be better suited to playing the lotto instead. Good job most of us write for pleasure. Carol is a writer, pensioner and cake addict!

'Christmas Cards' by Birdy & Me

http://www.birdyandme.com.au/blog/2015/9/27/christmas-cards

Birdy & Me is home to Australian Illustrator, Kelly Smith. I think this has got to be one of the most exquisite blogs/websites that I have ever come across. To say that Kelly has talent would be a gross understatement. She has worked with plenty of big names including Valentino, Armani, Jenny Packham and Maybelline New York to name a few. Kelly has also had work published with the likes of Elle, Harper's Bazar and InStyle. (My only complaint - sorry Kelly - is that the font on her site is quite hard to read.

'How I Edit My Blog Photographs' by The Makeup Directory

http://www.themakeupdirectory.co.uk/2015/10/how-i-edit-my-blog-photographs.html

The Makeup Directory was started by Sally O'Kelly in her first year of university when she wasn't in the best of places and so it made for a great distraction. (Can understand that one Sally!) She lives in London and is passionate about film making, so much so that she chose Film Production as her degree! Sally loves writing, fashion photography, art and (obviously) film. The Makeup Directory is a fantastic combination of all Sally's interests.

'Review & Giveaway: A Step Toward Falling. Cammie McGovern' by Me, My Shelf and I

http://www.memyshelfandi.com/2015/10/review-giveaway-step-toward-falling-by.html?m=1

The above book is apparently a must read for fans of All The Bright Places!
'Me, My Shelf And I' is a blog created by Amber, an aspiring YA author. (That's young adult fiction for those that don't know.) She loves coffee, wine, ice-cream, scary movies, music and the colour pink! Part time blogger Katie, also writes for MMSAI. Katie is a self proclaimed media addict. She loves music, movies, tv, games and books.

'Fall Staples' by Lilly Style

'Things To Do This Weekend For A Productive Week' by From Roses

http://www.fromroses.co.uk/blog//things-to-do-this-weekend-for-a-productive-week

There she shares her tools and tips that have helped her on her own road to happiness after her struggle with depression and eating disorders. She hopes that #ThePowerWithin will spark a global movement towards awareness, acceptance and support for all affected by psychological disorders.

'What I'm Reading In October' by Aimee Raindrop Writes

Aimee has become a really good blogging friend of mine. A lifestyle blogger, she writes lots of book reviews which makes her blog a 'must follow!' Aimee likes cats, tea and reading. She herself admits to spending too much money on handbags - well every girl has a vice Aimee! :) Yes I'm slightly envious that she gets to work from home, Aimee practically lives in her pjs! Some girls get all the luck!

'The Truth About Stigma' by Jennifer Niven (Germ Magazine)

http://www.germmagazine.com/the-truth-about-stigma/

The last of my shares isn't technically a blog post as such. But it is a must read. Who remembers Jennifer Niven? She was my very first author interview and as it happens my first ever blog post! Click HERE if you missed it.
Author of YA novel 'All The Bright Places', Jen wrote this heartfelt piece for Germ Magazine. In one day alone she received 121 messages from people who felt that ATBP had helped them in someway. Be it saving their life, making them feel less alone or giving them the confidence to seek help. Love or loathe the book... This is really quite something.

And that brings us to the end of another post. Hope you enjoy reading. Do let me know which your favourites are. Have a fabulous rest of the weekend, let's hope this week brings us all good things!

Lots of love GGD xxx
